Trams returned to Novocherkassky Prospekt after road repairs

On October 16, trams resumed service on Novocherkassky Prospekt in St. Petersburg. This was reported by MK in St. Petersburg.

The construction of the road from Zanevsky Prospekt to Krasnogvardeyskaya Square has been completed. Trams 10 and 23 have now returned to their previous routes, and tram 65 is running on weekdays again.

Earlier, 78.ru wrote that trams may operate on the railways of St. Petersburg. This initiative may be connected with the desire to remove the interchange on Torfyanaya Road. In the event of the reconstruction of the railway line for trams, the rails behind the Staraya Derevnya metro station leading to the Finland Station may be removed and the crossing will not be in demand. The difficulty in implementing this idea is that the technical characteristics and requirements of the railway require special rolling stock. This costs much more than usual.
