A tourist route will appear between Tyumen Oblast and Tatarstan
The Tyumen Region and Tatarstan are connected by a tourist route called the Mendeleyev Museum Route. It was launched between Tobolsk and Mendeleyevsk. This was reported by the Information Center of Local Government.
"The idea of creating a popular science route was first expressed in Tobolsk on February 8, 2024, on the 190th anniversary of the great scientist's birth. Tobolsk, the hometown of Dmitry Mendeleyev, and the city of Mendeleyevsk in the Republic of Tatarstan, where the great scientist brought his scientific ideas to life, will be connected by a new tourist route. Tourists can already go on excursions. There are direct flights between the Begishevo and Remezov airports," the information center reported.
In Tobolsk, tourists will learn about the Mendeleyev family. They will visit museums, conceptual festivals, theater performances, and excursions. And in honor of the launch of the route, on October 19 and 20, Tatarstan will host the festival "We and Mendeleyevsk," which will also include a museum and theater program dedicated to the childhood and family of the great Siberian.
