City services cleared the waters of 15 passenger berths in the capital

In Moscow, water bodies in 15 passenger compartments have been cleaned, said Deputy Mayor for Housing and Public Utilities (HPU) and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.

"The need for these measures arose because the riverbed is polluted with large household waste and scrap metal, which could cause damage to cruise ships," he was quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the capital's public utilities complex.

The deputy mayor added that all piers will also be prepared for winter. Clean and wash steps, granite caps and railings.

At the end of September, the reconstruction of the Bykovsky bog pond in Zelenograd was completed. The accumulated silt there reduced the depth of the reservoir and active overgrowth of algae. There was also destruction of coastal areas.

The specialists of the municipal services complex also completed the reconstruction of two Krasnoyarsk ponds in the Golyanovsky district. During the rehabilitation period, sludge was removed from 0.6 hectares of territory, the total volume exceeded 1600 cubic meters.
